"Operating a successful breeding facility is not a business, it's a way of life."

VDS K9 is owned and operated by Will Beattie.  He has spent his lifetime working with and around working dogs.  Involvement in many areas of canine work has provided him with a well rounded view of what a true working dog should be.

VDS K9 is a very small, yet professionally run kennel.  Cleanliness of the facility and proper care of the dogs are our top priority.  Each of our dogs and litters receive the best of veterinary care and immunizations.

The selection of each dog used in our program is a very carefully thought out process.  Each dog is tested either by us personally or a trusted friend to ensure proper work ethic and confidence.  After the dog arrives at our kennel, the dog undergoes many days of testing.  This testing is not as complicated as it may sound.

2006 Will and K9 Brit-A Cat is said to have nine lives-sometimes we feel Brit and Will have had nine careers together.  This is proof that a good representative of this breed should be versatile, thus the reason that the slogan for VDS K9 is "Breeding the Versatile German Shepherd Dog".  Photo taken on Gilmer County Search and Rescue exercise, 96,000 acre Cohutta Wildlife Management Area -Chattahoochee National Forest.
